We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to become part of a small on-site team, providing technical support for a large organisation in Stafford.

You will be part of a small team of on-site engineers, providing dedicated 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support and operational services for cisco-based LAN and wireless network. You will be required to work on site Monday-Friday, with on call provisions split between the team.

As an on-site engineer, you will have support from the Service Desk and your daily duties will include (but are not limited to) responsibility of the operational activities across LAN and Wireless technologies. You will also be required to provide occasional 1st line support with other technologies such as ASA firewalls and VOIP telephone systems.

You will ideally already be working in similar Senior Network Engineer position with a full UK driving licence, have great communication skills and be vigilant with documentation. You must also have experience in performing the below duties:

  • Extensive Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching experience
  • Cisco wireless administration and support experience
  • Network and service monitoring and reporting
  • Ensuring documentation is up to date and relevant
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Good level of documentation and communication skills
  • Cisco CCNA Wireless / Security
  • Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls

Semi-Senior Accountant

We are proud to be working with a leading Accountancy & Tax practice based in Crewe, supporting them in their exciting plans for growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant who is looking to join an established, local firm and embark on the next stage in their career.

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be assisting the partners and managers in the preparation of annual accounts and tax returns. You will be carrying out a broad scope of duties covering Bookkeeping, VAT, Financial Accounts, Taxation and Administration. Your main duties will include:

  • Reconciling the key control data in the bookkeeping software with original documents
  • Production of VAT Returns from a varied range of data
  • Directly liaising with clients to ensure all needs are met
  • Preparation of client annual financial statements
  • Ensuring all working papers are complete, accurate and fully referenced
  • Completion of tax returns

You will ideally be working in a similar role and have at least 2 years practice experience. You should have a comprehensive understanding of the industry and tax system but the successful candidate will be provided with in-house training to enhance their skills in the duties outlined above. You must also have the below skills and experience:

  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and confident in liaising with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Ability to work prioritise and manage your own workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Be able to work in a dynamic, growing team with the confidence to work independently
  • Be I.T. proficient with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with bookkeeping software and be adaptable in transferring knowledge from one system to another, where less experience is held.

Although formal qualifications are not required, the position would be ideally suited to someone who has been/is studying AAT.

Gas Installation Engineer

Our client who are a specialist service provider based locally are expanding their engineering team.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Gas Installations Engineer to work locally.

Essentially the role will be to successfully perform domestic gas boiler installations and central heating system upgrades.


Duties:

  • To install, replace and upgrade boilers and central heating systems in customers properties.
  • To ensure customer property is respected at all times and work is carried out in a clean and tidy manner, demonstrating a high level of customer service at all times.
  • To ensure installations are completed within the agreed timescale and to company standards.
  • To adhere to manufacturer instructions when installing and commissioning appliances.
  • To issue notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations relating to gas safety.
  • To complete all work in accordance with company procedure, best practice, industry standards and current legislation.
  • To complete all relevant training and certifications as required by regulations.
  • To maintain regular contact with the Manager, administration personnel and colleagues to obtain instructions and resolve working problems.
  • To document completed works and maintain an accurate record of work carried out including measurements and calculations.

To be considered for this role: ·

  • Current gas qualifications (through an Accredited Certification Scheme), including CCN1, CEN WAT, and appliances.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Asbestos Awareness as a minimum, Category B preferred.
  • General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of laptops or PDAs.

In return you will have a company van, tools, fuel card, parts and van stock. Along with phone, tablet and/or PDA, full uniform and full PPE is all provided.
