My client is a fast-growing independent travel agent currently enjoying an incredible period of growth. As such, an exciting position has opened up for a PR Assistant to join the marketing team.


As a PR Assistant, you will be working 9am-6pm Monday – Friday. The role will require you to make yourself available for busy weekends throughout the year and you will need to work one bank holiday in 4 on a rota basis with the other staff members.

The main objective of the role will be to coordinate the successful delivery of marketing projects that raise the profile of the company’s brands.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to: –

  • Co-ordinate all media activity
  • Assist in the organisation of all events and awards activity throughout the year
  • Deliver all Charity and corporate social responsibility activity

The role requires a confident and driven person who is a great motivator and good at developing relationships as well as maintaining existing relationships. You will be working closely alongside and under the direction of the Project and Marketing Manager.

You will be working with key stakeholders to establish newsworthy stories, developed around travel and industry trends. You will be writing the content for each activity working in line with key publications and media outlets to promote the company’s brands and keep persistent exposure within various channels.

This role involves working with the project manager to deliver an events calendar and co-ordinating all merchandise and displays necessary for the events. Alongside this, you will actively seek out new a and exciting events opportunities to get involved with.

You will have the responsibility of working alongside all areas and departments of the business and particularly with the HR manager, in the organisation and delivery of charity events and fundraising, including ideas to improve CSR activities.


Experience is preferred in this role and personality fit is equally as important in this fast-paced environment with a bubbly enthusiastic team.

You will receive a salary of £18,000 p.a.
