Senior Payroll Assistant

Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their Payroll and HR team based in Staffordshire. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a rapidly expanding business.


  • Processing of starters and leavers
  • Making appropriate salary adjustments
  • Amendment of personal details
  • Processing of overtime payments
  • Ensuring that actions associated with payroll are compliant with legislation and company policy
  • Dealing with fee earner/operational queries and helping to resolve issues
  • Occasional provision of administration support for the HR Team
  • Completing ad-hoc duties as required by both the Payroll and HR Teams

Candidate skills:

  • Previous experience of working in a Payroll Team within a multi-site organisation
  • Exposure to pensions and benefits
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Education to GCSE with good numerical skills
  • Team player
  • Demonstrate Microsoft/Excel skills
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Eager to learn
  • Good organisational/time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy, fast paced team
  • Able to build good working relationships
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
