My story started over 10 years ago as a trainee recruitment consultant, I then went onto progress to a senior consultant, I was then given the opportunity to open a new start up branch which I grasped with both hands. Having managed 2 successful branches I decided to take the next step of my journey and along with Sam SaferHandCare was born.

We strive to create a welcoming and friendly environment where everyone is welcome and look to provide the best service possible to all.

I began my road to recruitment as a sales advisor where I naturally progressed from an outbound sale advisor to a field sales executive, due to unforeseen circumstances within my family I changed career and began my journey within the care sector as a support worker. This then lead me into my first recruitment role combining both my sales and care experience together. I then found my calling and established myself which led me to having my first branch manager role. Since then a lot has changed and along with Sue we decided to open our first branch SaferHandCare.

Sara Winchester - Branch Manager

Sara Winchester - Branch Manager

I have over 10 years experience working within the health and social care sector, initially beginning my career as a pediatric healthcare assistant working with children who had complex care needs. After graduating from University, I undertook a care coordinator role for a complex care agency, I then progressed to the deputy manager and then the Branch Manager. I have gained a vast amount of experience supporting and coordinating packages of care for both children and adults with complex care needs. I have recently completed a Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. I enjoy helping others, making a positive impact and have found all of my roles within the healthcare sector rewarding. I love Tom Hanks, Fall Out Boy, Bao Buns and noodles. I enjoy reading, going to the theater and spending time with my family and pets.

I am an amateur baker and have aspirations one day to hopefully be good enough to go on the Great British Bake off.

I have worked in the care sector on and off for 22 years. I’ve worked as a manager of a pre-school and enjoyed dealing with the tasks involved, as well as spending time with the children. I have also worked as a support worker for a client with severe mental health needs and learning disabilities.

I came to safer hand care as a care worker and have worked my way up to now become the health and social care trainer for the Maidstone branch.

I love my job role and enjoy training candidates to the highest standard, for vulnerable clients.

I am an avid collector of DC and Marvel memorabilia, and have 2 kids as well as a puppy, so I spend all of my spare time with them.

I look forward to progressing my career with Safer Hand care.

I have only recently started my career within recruitment. I previously worked in the hospitality sector and went to catering school. After a while I wanted to move from hospitality and get into office work and was interested in recruitment as a career path.

In my spare time I like to play video games and also play a few instruments. I’ve been playing Drums for the last 3 years, Bass for 5 years and Guitar since I was a kid.

After 18 years working as a practice accountant, in March 2023 I decided on a career change and joined the Safer Hand Care team as Finance Manager. The team have been really welcoming and I am excited to be involved with various aspects of the business as it continues to grow. Outside of work I spend a lot of time walking my working cocker spaniel, Wilf, and socialising with friends, often at Stoke where I have been a season ticket holder for many years. Along with sport and fitness, I enjoy music and try to get out to watch gigs when I can.
