Sue Deaville

Sue Deaville

Director

My story started over 10 years ago as a trainee recruitment consultant, I then went onto progress to a senior consultant, I was then given the opportunity to open a new start up branch which I grasped with both hands. Having managed 2 successful branches I decided to take the next step of my journey and along with Sam SaferHandCare was born.

We strive to create a welcoming and friendly environment where everyone is welcome and look to provide the best service possible to all.

I began my road to recruitment as a sales advisor where I naturally progressed from an outbound sale advisor to a field sales executive, due to unforeseen circumstances within my family I changed career and began my journey within the care sector as a support worker. This then lead me into my first recruitment role combining both my sales and care experience together. I then found my calling and established myself which led me to having my first branch manager role. Since then a lot has changed and along with Sue we decided to open our first branch SaferHandCare.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Having been a paediatric nurse for 4 years, I decided it was time for a change and I am excited to have started my career as a recruitment consultant with safer hand care. Knowing the industry well helps me bring my knowledge into recruiting and placing healthcare workers. I’m looking forward to growing the Canterbury branch and seeing where we can go in the future.

Finance Manager

After 18 years working as a practice accountant, in March 2023 I decided on a career change and joined the Safer Hand Care team as Finance Manager. The team have been really welcoming and I am excited to be involved with various aspects of the business as it continues to grow. Outside of work I spend a lot of time walking my working cocker spaniel, Wilf, and socialising with friends, often at Stoke where I have been a season ticket holder for many years. Along with sport and fitness, I enjoy music and try to get out to watch gigs when I can.

We strive to create a welcoming and friendly environment where everyone is welcome and look to provide the best service possible to all.

Area Manager

I have over 10 years experience working within the health and social care sector, initially beginning my career as a pediatric healthcare assistant working with children who had complex care needs. After graduating from University, I undertook a care coordinator role for a complex care agency, I then progressed to the deputy manager and then the Branch Manager. I have gained a vast amount of experience supporting and coordinating packages of care for both children and adults with complex care needs. I have recently completed a Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. I enjoy helping others, making a positive impact and have found all of my roles within the healthcare sector rewarding. I love Tom Hanks, Fall Out Boy, Bao Buns and noodles. I enjoy reading, going to the theater and spending time with my family and pets. I am an amateur baker and have aspirations one day to hopefully be good enough to go on the Great British Bake off.
