Care Sue Deaville

Sue Deaville

Director

My story started over 10 years ago as a trainee recruitment consultant, I then went onto progress to a senior consultant, I was then given the opportunity to open a new start up branch which I grasped with both hands. Having managed 2 successful branches I decided to take the next step of my journey and along with Sam SaferHandCare was born.

We strive to create a welcoming and friendly environment where everyone is welcome and look to provide the best service possible to all.

Director

I began my road to recruitment as a sales advisor where I naturally progressed from an outbound sale advisor to a field sales executive, due to unforeseen circumstances within my family I changed career and began my journey within the care sector as a support worker. This then lead me into my first recruitment role combining both my sales and care experience together. I then found my calling and established myself which led me to having my first branch manager role. Since then a lot has changed and along with Sue we decided to open our first branch SaferHandCare.

Nathan Shaw

Nathan Shaw

Finance Manager

After 18 years working as a practice accountant, in March 2023 I decided on a career change and joined the Safer Hand Care team as Finance Manager. The team have been really welcoming and I am excited to be involved with various aspects of the business as it continues to grow. Outside of work I spend a lot of time walking my working cocker spaniel, Wilf, and socialising with friends, often at Stoke where I have been a season ticket holder for many years. Along with sport and fitness, I enjoy music and try to get out to watch gigs when I can.

We strive to create a welcoming and friendly environment where everyone is welcome and look to provide the best service possible to all.

Trainee Branch Manager

Hi I’m Jo. I have recently joined the Safer Hand Care team as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. After spending many successful years working as a teacher, the opportunity was offered to me to begin a new journey in recruitment. Outside work, I love socialising with my friends, going on holiday and I enjoy a concert or two. I am very excited to start working with the team and can’t wait to see what the future holds.😊

Joanna Renouf

Joanna Renouf

Trainer & Resourcer

Hiya, I’m Joanna. I have been an office administrator for 20+ years and have worked in just about any office setting you can think of. I started working in the care sector of admin back in 2014, not too long after I relocated to the UK from the USA. I had a break for the last 3 years but when I saw SaferHandCare had opened a location near me, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to return to the sector I found the most joy working in. When I’m not at work, I enjoy taking my dog on adventures, spending time with family, baking goodies in my kitchen and helping out at my partners’ family farm.

Stacey Goode

Stacey Goode

Senior Recruitment Consultant

When my maternity was coming to an end in 2021, I knew I wanted a new challenge and career. I have over 15 years of sales experience and love talking to people (sometimes a little too much) so recruitment is perfect for me; I get a chance to meet lots of different candidates and find out what is really important to them and why they are choosing care as a career. Similarly getting to know the care homes we work with already and new care homes out there to fully understand everything about them, their team, culture, residents as well as the needs and requirements from the agency staff so our staff fit in from day 1. With knowledge of both temporary and permanent staffing within healthcare, I can assist in those shifts you need to cover to ensure your home is safe at all times.

Hi I’m Gary. I joined SaferHandCare as the Branch Trainer and have previously worked in the Armed Forces, Pupil Referral Centres within Stoke on Trent and as a Trainer for another Health & Social Care provider. I believe in further education as this is a positive way of goal setting. I’m fully qualified to deliver all Mental Health First Aid England courses and I hold BA Hons in Business Management, National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector and First Response Emergency Care level 3. I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience which enables me to coach and train both experienced and non-experienced staff. I run in house and external training that can be adapted to suit any setting.
